The Great Decisive Battle! The Super 8 Ultra Brothers version of Ultraman Gaia ( Urutoraman Gaia ) is an Ultra who was born from Gamu Takayama. After Rena had made everyone remember their original hope, Gamu realised that his original dream which was to become a scientist along with Asuka, remembering his dream as well, causing their transformation items to appear in their hands and they transform into Dyna and Gaia. They free Tiga from the cylinder and defeat the last three monsters.
However, the mysterious cloaked being and many other similar looking beings use their magic to revive the souls of the defeated monsters. The souls combine to form Giga Chimera. The monster knocks down the three Ultras, however, their friends and the city continuously cheer them on and they rise up to fight Giga Chimera.
Soon, Hokuto, Hayata, Dan, and Go turn into the Ultra Brothers with the help of their wives. Together, they free Ultraman Mebius from his imprisonment. The five then join Tiga, Dyna, and Gaia and help fight Giga Chimera. After repelling several attacks from Giga Chimera, it flees into space. The 8 Ultra brothers follow it and finish it off. However after returning to Earth, the cloaked beings rise once again. The mysterious beings, called Kageboshi, fuse to become the Giant Kageboshi. The Giant Kageboshi states that he will make more powerful monsters and will bring despair to Earth.

Tiga however replies back that it's useless and that the light in everyone's heart will always protect them. The Ultra brothers combine their powers to use the Superior Myth Blaster and destroy the Giant Kageboshi. It was unknown whether Gamu kept the Esplender since the threat of Kageboshi had ended.

- After receiving the the Agul Force from Fujiyama, Gaia achieved Version 2; his new default form. The red line on his chest changed to black, possibly in resemblance to Agul's body pattern. His techniques are further enhanced and he can use powers that were formerly Agul's.
- Gaia Head : Referring to the gold markings on Gaia's head, they gather light energy or mana from the Earth to power him, they are also required for the Photon Stream and similar beams fired from the head.
- Gaia Eyes : His eyes can detect hidden enemies, even those that are invisible or hiding behind objects, can also see vast distances.
- Life Gauge : The proper term for Gaia's color timer, he has no set time limit to how long he can be active. Instead it serves to show how much energy he has left, his energy is used up both by attacking and receiving blows.
- Gaia Breaster : The gold (Later gold and black) bands around his life gauge, they are pieces of armor and sturdiest part of his body, being almost indestructible. Upon gaining V2 they gain a black lines in between them and in supreme version they spread to his shoulders.
- Gaia Body : The red ultra's body can withstand low temperatures and survive in the vacuum of space. He is also resistant to laser beams and fire.
- Arms : Concentrates the energy for most of Gaia's ray attacks, such the Photon Edge and Purification Ray
- Feet : Able to generate anti-gravitational energy for flight. When landing, the energy discharge causes small eruptions underneath Gaia's feet

About 500 years ago- Kijuro Mato predicts the attacks of the Radical Destruction Bringer.
- Gamu Takayama makes contact with the spirit of Ultraman.
- C.O.V lands on Earth, for filling Kijuro Mato's predictions. And the initiation of XIG is allowed to commence.
- Ultraman Gaia fought many monsters during the series' run. The events of Ultraman Gaia:The Battle in Hyperspace happen during episode 42.
Radical Destruction Bringer
The Radical Destruction Bringer is the unseen presence from space that masterminded the attempted destruction of the human race and the invasion of the planet Earth in the Ultraman Gaia TV series. While Zogu, the Radical Destruction Bringer's second in command, was the main antagonist of the series, the Radical Destruction Bringer is ultimately the prime antagonist by succession. Its arrival was predicted 500 years before the event of the series' current events by the sorcerer Kijuro Mato, this led to the founding of the world wide defense origination GUARD and its kaiju attack team XIG.
The Radical Destruction Bringer is never seen but it is shown to always use worm-holes as a form of transportation for its monsters that sends to Earth. While the Destruction Bringer does have its own armada of monster, they also manipulate other kaiju and aliens into trying to invading the Earth, even kaiju and other civilizations from the Earth itself have been used by them.
They also have used psychological warfare on their enemies, such as Hiroya Fujimiya and members of XIG, manipulating them to either turn their backs on their fellow man, cause them to lose their spirit to continue resisting, or even making them believe that they should kill themselves off for humanities benefit.
It is because of the Radical Destruction Bringer that Hiroya Fujimiya believed that humanity would become the actual "Radical Destruction Bringers" by having the Queen Mezard implant a virus into Fujimiya's photon computer, Crisis. This is the event that pushes Fujimiya into trying to communicate with the Earth, which leads to him achieving the Light of Ultraman Agul. Later after Fujimiya regained his faith in humanity the Destruction Bringer tried once again to manipulate him into turning back on humanity, trying to convince him that mankind was actually a pathogen of the universe, and that they were only trying to cure the universe so that every living thing in the universe including the Destruction Bringer itself would be safe.
